The plain-language version: I only use the details you give me to reply to you and to arrange your walk or dinner. I use Google Analytics to see how the site is used, but I don’t track you around the web, and you can ask me to delete your data at any time.

1. Who is responsible for your data

The controller of your personal data is Hanna Szpil-Backer, running “Slow Kraków with Hanna”, Wielkanocna 4F, 30-376 Kraków, Poland (tax ID / NIP 6772338593). You can reach me at any time at hello@slowkrakowhanna.com or +48 509 311 619. In this policy, “I” means this business and “you” means you, the visitor.

2. What data I collect
  • Contact form: your name, e-mail address, what you’d like to book, your preferred date, the number of guests and your message.
  • Booking a walk: when you pick a date for the slow walking tour, your name, e-mail address, phone number, number of guests, chosen date and time, and any message.
  • E-mail and WhatsApp: whatever you choose to send me when you contact me directly.

There are no user accounts, I don’t ask for more than I need, and I don’t knowingly collect data from children.

3. Why I use it, and the legal basis (GDPR / RODO)

I use your details only to answer your questions and to arrange and run your walk or dinner.

  • Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR: to take steps at your request before a booking and to provide the experience you booked.
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: my legitimate interest in answering enquiries and keeping the website secure and working.
  • Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR: where I have to keep booking or invoice records by law.
  • Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR: my legitimate interest in understanding, in aggregated form, how visitors use this site (Google Analytics). You can object to this at any time (see Cookies below).

I never add you to a marketing list.

4. Who I share it with

To run a small business I rely on a few trusted providers, each acting under their own privacy terms:

  • microhost.pl hosts this website and my e-mail. Form messages are delivered to my inbox and a copy is kept in the website’s database.
  • Google receives the booking requests made through the date picker, which go into my booking calendar. Google also supplies the fonts used on this site (see Cookies below).
  • Google Analytics (Google Ireland Ltd.) receives pseudonymous usage data about your visit (see Cookies below).
  • WhatsApp (Meta), only if you choose to contact me on WhatsApp.
  • Booking platforms such as GetYourGuide, Airbnb or Eataway, only if you choose to book through them. Your booking is then governed by their terms and privacy policies.

I do not sell your data. Some providers may process data outside the European Economic Area under appropriate safeguards, such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.

5. How long I keep it

I keep enquiries and booking details only as long as needed to help you and for a reasonable period afterwards, and then delete them. Where the law requires me to keep records (for example invoices), I keep those for the period the law sets.

6. Your rights

Under the GDPR (RODO) you have the right to access your data, correct it, have it erased, restrict or object to how it’s used, receive it in a portable form, and withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. To use any of these rights, just e-mail hello@slowkrakowhanna.com.

You also have the right to complain to the supervisory authority. In Poland this is the President of the Personal Data Protection Office: Prezes Urzędu Ochrony Danych Osobowych (UODO), ul. Stawki 2, 00-193 Warszawa, uodo.gov.pl.

7. Cookies and similar technologies

Short version: this site uses no advertising cookies and doesn’t follow you around the internet. It does use Google Analytics cookies to count visits, which you can block at any time.

  • Necessary: the website may set a technically necessary cookie so that it works properly. These don’t identify you and aren’t used for tracking.
  • Browser storage: the booking date picker may remember the available dates in your browser’s local storage so it loads faster. It contains no personal data.
  • Fonts: the fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts. To deliver them, Google receives your IP address, as with any website visit. Google doesn’t set cookies for this.
  • Google Analytics: I use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use this site, for example which pages are read and how people find it. When you visit, it sets cookies (such as _ga, kept for up to 2 years) and sends Google pseudonymous usage data, with IP addresses not stored. Google Signals and ad personalisation are switched off, and I use this data only in aggregated form, never to identify you, and not for advertising. You can object at any time by blocking or deleting cookies in your browser, by installing Google’s Analytics opt-out add-on, or by e-mailing me.   • Links to other sites: links to Instagram, Facebook, WhatsApp, Google Maps and booking platforms take you to their own websites, which use their own cookies under their own policies.
  • Managing cookies: you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time, and the site will still work.

If the way I run the site or handle your data changes, I’ll update this page and the “last updated” date above.
